Library Building Committee approves sidewalk replacement work

Westborough Library Building Committee approves tree removal and sidewalk work. The committee voted unanimously to approve a $69,000 sidewalk replacement project along West Main Street and Parkman Street, addressing damage incurred during construction and prioritizing safety improvements. The committee also approved removal of three Norway maples from the front of the building for $15,000 and replacement of one dogwood for $5,000.

In related votes, the committee approved vendor invoices totaling $684,602.50 for May work and a $59,835.08 Change Order package covering plumbing, electrical, flooring, and lead paint removal. The project has spent $7,634,428 to date and targets a September 1 occupancy date.
