WESTBOROUGH — MetroWest RECC District advances regional emergency communications infrastructure. The governing board voted 2-0, with Chair Kristi Williams abstaining, to approve a lease agreement for the district's facility at 20 Phillips Street, and unanimously authorized $54,542.52 in Vertex invoices. Executive Director Brian Smith reported State911 support for the district's $12.5 million bond authorization, now under constituent Select Board review.
The board approved pre-qualification and bidding processes for construction work expected to span ten months, with Evan Brassard noting the district will advance tower planning once Southborough Select Board approves bonding.
