Commission authorizes survey of five Westborough witness houses
Historical Commission · Meeting of July 22, 2026
Westborough Historical Commission votes unanimously to authorize Stacy Spies witness house survey. The commission authorized survey of five Westborough properties not currently listed on the state's Massachusetts Cultural Resource Information System database, among 38 total recorded witness houses in Westborough. Chair Christian Hedrick and members Nancy Strecker, Phil Mighdoll, Cindy Dubose, Margy Peairs, Tracy Cunningham, and Ian Delahanty also unanimously approved an Accession/Deaccession Policy and accepted three books and a photograph from recently resigned member Kris Allen for a new historical library.
The commission determined 233 Turnpike Road is not historically significant enough to withhold a demolition permit.
