Veterans Advisory Board plans June Grand Marshal, Memorial Day events.

WESTBOROUGH — Veterans Advisory Board advances spring commemorative planning. Chair Marshall Preston reported that Peter Guillnitz, Principal at Mill Pond and a veteran, accepted the Grand Marshal honor for June 2026 Memorial Day observances. Paul Horrigan, Secretary, confirmed four Hometown Heroes banners are in production, with two additional veterans added to the roster.

The VFW will be a major participant in Westborough's 250th celebration, providing fireworks as primary sponsor and leading a veteran-fronted parade. Lee Strout, Soldiers Memorial Trustee, reported that three of four veterans' groups have approved a message to the Selectmen regarding displaying only the US and MIA flags on the town's 13 memorials.
