Westborough Trustees of Soldiers Memorials approve bench relocation at Monument Park. Chair Mark Brady and trustees Paul Freeman, Burton Christensen, and Lee Strout voted unanimously to move the bench honoring World War I, World War II, and Korea veterans from the right to left side of the park, positioning it in front of the Vietnam Monument and facing the Forbes Municipal Building to improve visitor sightlines. The board also unanimously agreed that Police Chief Todd Minardi's proposed Police Department monument concept poses no aesthetic conflict with the existing Veteran Monuments Park, though the trustees took no formal recommendation position on the Police Department monument's advancement with the town.
