WESTBOROUGH — Treatment Plant Board approves $430,026 in invoices as rotor project stalls. The board authorized payment for April operations including $349,080 to Veolia and $13,243 to AECOM, with representatives from Shrewsbury and Westborough briefing members on inflow-infiltration reduction efforts. Chair Mike Stanton directed further investigation into recurring gearbox failures on the aeration system rotors, with MSI video and AECOM recommendations expected at the May 13 meeting.
Administrator Darlene Domingos reported that Town Meeting approved the $8.8 million Headworks Project warrant article and that AECOM reduced Task Order #10 fees from $1.35 million to $1.01 million.
