Sustainable Westborough supports EV charging revolving fund article for town meeting.

Sustainable Westborough · Meeting of March 11, 2026

WESTBOROUGH — Sustainable Westborough unanimously backed an EV charging revolving fund article for town meeting. The fund would allow the Department of Public Works to redirect charging station fees toward maintenance and expansion rather than general town revenue, according to minutes from the March 11 meeting. Chair Peter Flynn presented updates to the Specialized Energy Code proposal (Article 30 on the March 21 warrant), noting that few existing Westborough buildings will be impacted and that similar communities have not experienced development decreases.

Sustainability Coordinator Leila Ahmed reported the Portfolio Prioritization Plan Proposal is complete with no town cost, while principals at Hastings and Armstrong schools have agreed to resume food waste composting programs.
