WESTBOROUGH — Select Board withdraws home rule petition, plans revised fall resubmittal. Chair Sean Keogh and the board voted unanimously on May 4 to withdraw H.4751, a home rule petition intended to increase signature requirements for warrant articles, after concluding its language unintentionally broadened scope to allow any board to submit articles. Town Manager Kristi Williams confirmed the withdrawal required no pause and explained procedural steps for resubmittal with town meeting certification.

The board also voted unanimously to enter executive session to discuss collective bargaining strategy with the Firefighter Union and approve prior minutes.
