WESTBOROUGH — Select Board reappoints two to Westborough TV board, absorbs retiree insurance error. Chair Ian Johnson and the board unanimously reappointed Ken West and John Gallinagh to the Westborough TV Board of Directors for terms ending December 31, 2029. Assistant Town Manager Kim Foster presented a request to temporarily absorb the town's portion of a $5.54 monthly premium increase for Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare supplement retirees, totaling approximately $2,300 for the three-month period January through March 2026, which the board approved 4-0-0 after Member Patrick Welch recused himself.
The board also received updates on Complete Streets policy implementation from DPW Director Chris Payant and considered a bicycle-pedestrian safety striping proposal from resident Andy Konigsberg, referring further analysis to the Active Transportation and Safety Committee.
