WESTBOROUGH — Select Board approves Police Chief contract despite compensation objections. The board voted 3-2 to ratify a three-year employment agreement for Police Chief Todd Minardi, with Vice Chair Shelby Marshall and Member Patrick Welch voting no over an 8.66 percent year-one salary increase, while Chair Ian Johnson, Member Mark Silverberg, and Member Sean Keogh cited peer benchmarking and fairness. The board unanimously advanced a 34-article warrant for the 2026 Annual Town Meeting after removing Article 19 on crosswalks and transportation improvements, and unanimously approved a fire service regionalization feasibility study with Southborough estimated at $100,000 with $50,000 from Westborough.
