Select Board approves easement agreements and takings for Otis Street project.

WESTBOROUGH — Select Board unanimously approves Otis Street Improvement Corridor Project easements and takings. Chair Sean Keogh and members Shelby Marshall, Mark Silverberg, and Patrick Welch executed easement agreements for properties at 50, 54, 60-64 Otis Street, 330 Turnpike Road, and 290 Turnpike Road, and approved eminent domain takings at 55 and 74 Otis Street with appraisal-based damages of $9,000 and $90,200 respectively. Community Development Director Fred Lonardo reported a $1,000 cost reduction and indicated construction will begin this summer, spanning approximately two seasons pending DOT permits.
The Board also unanimously reappointed Melinda Mackendrick, Shannon Murphy, and Keith Elmes as Inspectors of Animals for the term May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
