WESTBOROUGH — Library Building Committee unanimously approves $100,000 chiller pipe installation. Chair Maureen Amyot and committee members voted to authorize the construction change directive after Stephen Theran of Vertex reported that demolition of original pipes, approved in January at $50,000, cost just $20,000 and finished in four days. Performance's revised installation proposal totals $215,000; Vertex recommended the $100,000 CCD to avoid schedule delays and maintain close contractor oversight.
The committee's remaining construction contingency stands at $673,351 after the authorization.
