Library Board approves treasurer and secretary reports.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of February 25, 2026

WESTBOROUGH — Library trustees approve routine reports while weighing governance consulting. The Westborough Public Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved the treasurer's report and January 28 minutes at its February 25 meeting. Director Kate Coraccio reported that the One Book, One Borough program is launching with a fantasy novel and includes a May 7 ticketed event at Marlborough Library and an April 19-25 library crawl; the Mini-Golf fundraiser drew over 1,200 attendees.

The board discussed hiring consultant Maura Deedy for trustee governance development at a cost of $2,500 to $9,000, with Trustee Kate Daly noting it would clarify trustee legal roles and limits. Director Coraccio confirmed the library repair project remains on track for a September opening despite significant square-footage reduction due to new bathrooms.
