Westborough 250th American Revolution Committee secures $13,000 in donations for June 26th celebration. Chair Roberta Brown and committee members voted unanimously to accept $7,000 in charitable contributions for fireworks, $5,000 from Chris Egan of Carruth Capital, and $1,000 from Deborah Penta. The committee also unanimously approved hiring Gary Gregory, a Ben Franklin performer, for $400 to engage attendees during the three-hour event.
Plans include a veterans' parade, historical tours through the Women's Club, library children's activities, and estimated attendance between 2,500 and 5,000.
