Committee approves grant kickoff representative

Westborough Active Transportation committee backs grant kickoff. The panel unanimously approved Don Burn to represent the committee at the kickoff meeting for the town's $130,000 Active Transportation Grant, which budgets $125,000 for consultant work and reserves $5,000. The committee also unanimously approved sending a letter of support to Massachusetts' Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities for the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission's Regional Trail Plan grant application, to be submitted by May 27.

A Kimley-Horn report on downtown rotary bike lane and parking revisions is expected within a month, while bike racks paperwork is awaiting state approval.
