Westborough 250th American Revolution Anniversary Committee approves fireworks contract, votes to expand display. The committee voted unanimously to accept a contract for cheaper fireworks and approved a motion to begin fundraising that could expand the display from 15 to 25 minutes. Chair Roberta Brown will request a warrant article from the town for additional funding.
Educational programming and historical events, including a possible Sons of Liberty reenactment and downtown historical walk, are in development through coordination with the School Committee and Westborough Historical Society.
