AFC backs FY27 warrant articles; tables police vehicle and study

Westborough Advisory Finance Committee backs FY27 warrant with $2.3M sewer borrowing, defers three contested items. Chair Prashant Ahuja's committee voted 8-0 to recommend approximately 25 FY27 warrant articles, including $2.3 million in borrowing for sewer pump station improvements and a $1.275 million package of water and wastewater capital projects. The committee also approved funding for vehicle replacements, building upgrades, and operational needs.
Three articles drew sufficient concern to warrant tabling: a police mobile command vehicle, a $200,000 public safety assessment, and a $200,000 Memorial Hall audio/visual upgrade, each deferred pending additional information or scope clarification.
