Westborough Advisory Finance backs $10.5 million wastewater plant bond, trail improvements, tree removal. The committee unanimously recommended $10.5 million in borrowing for capital repairs and improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, with costs apportioned among Westborough, Shrewsbury, and Hopkinton based on flow rates. The committee also voted 7-0-0 to recommend $25,500 from the Community Preservation Fund for trail infrastructure at Bowman Conservation Area and 6-1 (Chair Prashant Ahuja dissenting) to recommend $75,000 from Free Cash for hazardous tree removal in town conservation areas.
