Westborough AFC reviews warrant articles: police equipment, school budget, historic preservation. Police Chief Todd Minardi presented a mobile command vehicle proposal, with the town's share reduced to approximately $282,000 after a $50,000 Police Foundation contribution and grant funding. Superintendent Allison Borchers outlined a $2.94 million school operational budget request, a 4.1 percent increase over the prior year.
The committee also heard presentations on a $100,000 police organizational assessment, a $127,900 community preservation grant for historic window restoration at the Westborough Savings Bank building, and a rezoning proposal for 1 Research Drive with projected tax revenue of $2 to 3 million.
