WESTBOROUGH — Advisory Finance Committee reviews Assabet Valley school budget increase of $1.9M. Superintendent Ernie Houle presented the FY27 budget showing Westborough's assessment at $1,866,031, driven primarily by enrollment growth and changes to the state minimum local contribution formula. The overall regional budget increased 8.6% over FY26, with the district operating at 100% net school spending.
Westborough has 79 students attending the technical high school, and committee members raised questions about enrollment fluctuations, special education funding constraints, and long-term facility planning.
