Active Transportation & Safety Committee · Meeting of January 12, 2026

WESTBOROUGH — Active Transportation Committee advances high school crosswalk warrant article to spring Town Meeting. The committee voted unanimously on Don Burn's motion, seconded by fellow member Julie Squires, to submit the warrant article for a flashing beacon crosswalk on Ruggles Street at the high school. The measure requires presentations to the School Committee, Finance Committee, and Select Board before reaching voters.

The committee also approved letters to the Planning Board regarding the Westborough Swim and Tennis expansion and 165 Flanders Road bike lanes, while allocating $125,000 to a consultant for a $130,000 Active Transportation Plan.
